EEi is designed as an online classroom for band and strings teachers and is free to eligible EEi Teachers.

To be an eligible EEi teacher:

1. Teachers must own an Essential Elements Book 1* Band Conductor Book and/or Strings Teacher Manual.
2. Each student must have their own copy of an Essential Elements Book 1* student book for their instrument.

* EEi works with Essential Elements 2000 Books as well as the more recently printed books in which the 2000 has been removed from the cover.

To set-up your EEi Online Classroom:

1. Attain an EEi Activation Code:
   • Recently purchased Book 1 Conductor Book/Teacher Manual may have an EEi Activation Code printed in the back.
   • If your book does not have a code, you can request a code by clicking here.
2. On the EEi website, click on the teacher icon and click "Create an account"
3. Enter EEi Activation Code and enter school information.

To activate your student account and join your teacher's EEi Online Classroom* :

1. Teacher must enter student data
2. Students will need:
   • School Code (from the My Account section of the teacher site)
   • Student ID (from the My Student section of the teacher site)
3. On the EEi website, click on the student icon and click "Enroll in Your Class."
4. Enter School Code and Student ID
5. Create a user name and password and answer the questions pertaining to your book.

* EEi is designed for teachers and students as an extension of the classroom. Student accounts must be connected to a teacher account to be activated.

To activate your parent/guardian account and join your child's EEi Online Classroom* :

1. Teacher must enter parent data for each student
2. Parents will need:
   • Student ID (from the My Student section of the teacher site)
   • School Code (from the My Account section of the teacher site)
3. On the EEi website, click on the parent icon and click "Join Your Child's Class."
4. Enter School Code and Student ID
5. Create a user name and password and answer the questions pertaining to your child's book.

* Parents can only activate an account once the teacher has input parent information.
